Conference Theme 2026 

The theme for the Spring 2026 is “Teaching & Learning Amid Shifting Landscapes.” Teaching and Learning are consistently being challenged with changing regulations, laws, and technologies. These changes are reshaping how courses are designed, how content is delivered, and how students engage in learning. These shifting landscapes can be both challenging and opportunistic.

We look forward to your attendance at the The Academy of Teaching 2023 Spring Conference, Challenges and opportunities: Anticipating the future(s) of pedagogy, on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Blackwell Inn.This year’s theme, “Challenges and opportunities: Anticipating the future(s) of pedagogy,” explores the question of what comes next in the world of teaching and learning in higher education.

We welcome into the Academy of Teaching this year’s recipients of the Alumni Award for Distinguished Teaching and Provost’s Award for Distinguished Teaching by a Lecturer, respectively.

Call for Proposals: Academy of Teaching Spring Conference 2024:

The Academy of Teaching will be hosting a faculty breakfast with Ravi V. Bellamkonda, Executive Vice President and Provost for OSU, on Friday, September 19 in the Grand Lounge of the Faculty Club. The buffet will open at 8:30 a.m., and as we eat, Provost Bellamkonda will engage us in conversation.

The Agenda is as follows:

8:30 a.m. Registration and breakfast

9 a.m. Welcome and introduction of new members

9:15 a.m. Opening Remarks: Ravi V. Bellamkonda, Executive Vice President and Provost

The Academy of Teaching invites members of the Ohio State teaching community to submit proposals for its Annual Conference on Excellence in Teaching & Learning. The deadline for submissions has been extended to: Friday, March 1 (end of day).
