CALL FOR PROPOSALS
Academy of Teaching Spring Conference 2022 : Pandemic Pedagogies

8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Longaberger Alumni House – 2200 Olentangy River Rd.
(Conference may be converted to virtual as COVID-19 circumstances dictate)
The Academy of Teaching invites participants and presenters to consider how teaching during both social and health pandemics has compelled us to adapt and rethink our ways of teaching and reaching students. In what ways have these events led us to consider new approaches to teaching as frameworks for compassionate and equity-minded education? Conference topics will combine COVID-19 lessons learned with a vision for moving forward as we continue to work towards inclusive teaching practices in multiple modalities.
Proposals are currently being accepted for 20-minute presentations in the following areas:

Teaching in multiple modalities

Reaching students in online environments
-
Woke pedagogies (i.e., trauma-informed, anti-racist, decolonial)

The hybrid service-learning classroom
-
Approaches to teaching graduate and professional students
Proposal submission instructions:
Presentations will be 20 minutes in length.
Please submit your proposal no later than 4 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 25, 2022.
Please have the following information ready in order to complete the form:

Presentation Title

Presenter: Name, Academic Unit(s), and Email Address

Specific learning outcomes for the session (i.e., “Participants will…”)

Summarize the purpose/value and content of your session as well as any evidence (scholarship, assessments) to support your claims. Also, briefly address how your session connects to the theme of the conference. The abstract will serve as the description used to help participants decide which sessions to attend and should be worded as such. Please write in the third person. Limit: 200 words.
